The famous Floating Jumbo Hong Kong restaurant reversed on Sunday (June 19) after facing “bad conditions” in the South China Sea.

No crew members were injured, said Aberdeen’s restaurant company in a statement posted on Twitter.

When passing through the Xisha Islands in the South China Sea, the ship experienced a bad condition that was immediately inserted by water before starting to give a tip.”

Apart from the efforts of the withdrawal company responsible for the journey to save the ship, unfortunately, it reversed on Sunday.” The company added that “very sad” with this incident.

The ship, which resembles the Chinese imperial palace, has welcomed celebrities such as Queen Elizabeth II and Tom Cruise with Cantonese cuisine since 1976.

Residents have said goodbye to the iconic Jumbo Seafood restaurant on Tuesday (June 14) because it was withdrawn by a delayed ship from his house for 46 years.

In 2020, Jumbo stopped the operation due to the plague of Coronavirus. After months of COVID-19 restrictions, the parent company could not find a new owner and did not have the funds to maintain it.
