Taliban denied access to $9.5 billion of Afghan money

The US has freezes almost $ 9.5 billion assets belonging to the Afghan Central Bank and stopped the delivery of cash to the nation because they tried to keep the government led by the Taliban to access money, Bloomberg reported.

The official said that every asset of the central bank owned by the Afghan government in the US will not be available for the Taliban, which remains on the listing list of financial department sanctions.

US sanctions on the Taliban means they cannot access any funds. Most of the current DAB assets are not held in Afghanistan, according to two people who are familiar with this problem.

Afghan assets not only cover billions of dollars but also the golden and US treasury. Because the Taliban has not been recognized by any country in the world, the situation will make it a little difficult to access their external funds.
